You’ve seen these lips before, but I just can’t get enough of them! We treated this young lady with 1/2 syringe of Versa back in June. The top photo was taken before any filler. 👀 Beautiful eye transformation for my lovely patient. Tear Trough/Under Eye filler is a popular, yet tricky area to inject. Most fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in the body and hydrates the tissue by attracting water. Sometimes, by placing filler directly in this area, it can attract water to the the bags (fat pads) as well and cause increased swelling. This client had mild fat pad herniation (popping out) and to decrease the chance of further swelling, I chose to fill her medial cheeks first, then layer a soft, less hydrophilic (less water attraction) product in the tear trough to blend the cheek/undereye area. If you have severe fat pad herniation, you may not be a candidate for under eye filler. This is why a thorough consultation with an experienced provider is necessary. It’s best to under fill the tear trough area as too much filler will make you look puffy. Less is more people. ❌⚠️ OVERFILLED LIPS ⚠️❌. This lovely patient first came to see me in May for a lip rescue. She previously had multiple lip filler sessions by another provider and had significant filler migration. You can see the filler that migrated outside of the lip borders into the white part of the lip, causing her upper lip to project outward. She then had another syringe added by a different provider which left her lips lumpy and misshaped. We dissolved her old filler over 2 sessions before refilling them. Cheeks are poppin for @the_extension_girl! We started on our cheek journey in April, and have added 3 syringes total to this already stunning face. First we started with 2 syringes of Voluma to add a softer volume along the cheekbone and medial cheek area, followed by 1 syringe of Radiesse in the apples to really give it that pop she was looking for! Notice the restored Ogee curve! What is an Ogee curve you ask? The Ogee curve is the double S-shaped curvature along the cheeks that gives the face contour and dimension. HEALED lip results. These results are about 3 weeks after her initial injections. For this patient, we used a combo of toxin and lip filler to achieve these amazingly transformative results. This patient had a “gummy smile” meaning the nasalis muscle excessively raised her upper lip which caused her gums to show. She also lacked significant volume in her upper lip. We used 1ml Restylane Defyne to add volume to her upper lip, and 4 units of Botox to correct the gummy smile. First lip enhancement of the week! This patient wanted more of an upper lip as it was significantly smaller than her luscious bottoms lip. Lips for this beautiful & sweet bride-to-be who celebrated her wedding shower this past weekend. We did these about a month ago, and they were perfectly healed for her big day (but the BIG BIG day is in about 2 months and her lips will be just as perfect!). This beautiful patient has always wanted more volume in her lips. As you can see, she has very little volume in her upper lip. This is a lip that needs to built in stages. We did her first session about 3 weeks ago, and she came back for her touchup on Tuesday. We used 1.2ml HA filler total. These lips are GORGEOUS. She may want even more results after the swelling goes down, but we will need to wait at least 2 months before adding more. Adding too much filler too fast can cause the filler to migrate and that’s how you get duck lips. Not cute. 👀Tear Trough/Under Eye filler is a popular, yet tricky area to inject. Most fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in the body and hydrates the tissue by attracting water. Sometimes, by placing filler directly in this area, it can attract water to the the bags (fat pads) as well and cause increased swelling.
